Success Stories

Dave Copelin - After 1 year of training, Dave won the novice super heavyweight division at the Jiu Jitsu world championships without being scored on. Dave competed in 4 other tournaments prior to the world championships and has yet to be scored on.

Dave Mirikitani - After 4 months of Jiu Jitsu training, Dave won the Novice Featherweight division at the Jiu Jitsu world championships. Dave had never competed in a Jiu Jitsu tournament in his life.

Bobby Chu - On April 21st, 2007, after 1 year of training, Bobby won his first mixed martial arts fight by knockout at 2 minutes of the first round. Congratulations Bobby!

Justin Scott - has worked out at North Broadway for 5 months and lost 20 lbs. despite being the head chef for the Edward Jones Dome and making the best bread pudding in the Midwest.

Les Seligman - After training with Bryan for 3 months, Les took first place at the Senior Olympics in the bench press competition and 2nd place in the arm curl competition. Les is 75 years old and is a Navy man who saw action in the Korean War.

Joy Leick - Joy took 2nd place in her first Jiu Jitsu Tournament, NAGA (Arnold Fitness Expo) on March 10th. She finished her first opponent by arm bar in the guard. She has lost 8 % bodyfat and 15 pounds in 6 months. She has also submitted 20 men in practice since May '06.

Rich Graef - Rich took 1st place at the Memphis Invitational Jiu Jitsu tournament on November 10th, 2006. Rich took 2nd place at NAGA (North American Grappling Association) in Miami in the no-gi division and 3rd place in the Gi division on October 28th, 2006. 3rd place NAGA March 10th, 2007.

Tom Copelin - Finished his wrestling season with a 16-1 record.

Scott Collins - Scott has been training with Bryan for 2 years and has lost 65 pounds! Here is a picture of Scott now.
