Nick Fletcher Dominates at the Viking (06/23/2008)
Nick Fletcher won his Mixed Martial Arts fight Saturday Night at the Viking by rear naked choke at 1:30 into the first round! Congrats Nick on a great training camp and an even better fight!

Rolyler Gracie Seminar (06/14/2008)
Royler Gracie will be holding a seminar on Sunday, June 22nd from 11-2 at Rodrigo Vaghi’s main school in Fenton, MO. The cost is $80.
Royler is the son of Helio Gracie, one of the founders of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Royler is still an instructor at Gracie Humaita, in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. This is the original Gracie school founded by Helio Gracie.

Rodrigo Vaghi has studied jiu jitsu under Royler and his brothers Rickson and Rolker, and their father, Helio for 25 years.

Wrestling Dominance (03/01/2008)
Head Coach Ron Mirikitani, Assistant Coach Dave Mirikitani and Conditioning Coach Bryan Guidry led the Meramec Wrestling team to a 2nd place finish at the National Junior College Tournament in March. Meramec had 7 All Americans and 3 individual national champions; Aaron Senzee at 133 lbs., Deron Winn at 184 lbs., and Jamelle Jones at 197 lbs. Prior to this year, Meramec has never finished higher than 7th place as a team in the 40 year history. Coach Ron Mirikitani was named “Coach of the Year” and Deron Winn was named “Outstanding Wrestler” of the tournament.

Guidry takes Second @ No-Gi Worlds Update! (12/17/2007)
Over this past weekend Bryan Guidry took second place at the World No-Gi Championships in California. Bryan fought some of the world's best grapplers only being bested by Kayron Gracie.  Congratulations Bryan!

St. Louis Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open Update! (11/05/2007)
Team Vaghi won the St. Louis Brazilian Jiu Jitsu open on November 3rd. Bryan Guidry won the advanced gi and no-gi divisions without being scored on. JC Sibala won the advanced white belt and intermediate no-gi divisions."

Chaney takes First at War Games (10/08/2007)
North Broadway's Brad Chaney took first place in the 220lb Raw Bench Division at Saturday's War Games Powerlifting Event at the Rivers Edge in Granite City. Brad also captured his first best pound for pound raw bencher at the event beating out 70 other competitors. His total also qualified him for Raw Nationals next year in St. Louis.

Friday Night Fights @ The Viking Update! (09/13/2007) View Video Now
In a display of pure power North Broadway's Jeff Papenburg knocked out Casey McNealy 10 seconds into the first round with an inside leg kick followed by a devastating overhand right. Great victory Jeff!

World Jiu-Jitsu Championships Update! (08/24/2007)
Congratulations are in order!  On Thursday 2 new North Broadway World Champions were crowned. Congratulations to Dave Mirikitani and Dave Copelin for flawlessly capturing their first World Championships without being scored upon.
